In Italy the Christmas markets are quite popular among locals and foreigners as well who visit during the seasonal holiday from all over Europe and the world. In Italian these markets are called Mercatino di Natale and we should mention here the most famous one in Rome, the Piazza Navona but the smaller ones in the Italian Alps or in Trentino are also remarkable. Arco Christmas Market – exhibitions, concerts and firework display

The Christmas Market in Arco starts on the 15th of November and last until the 6th of January. If you are a fan of the Italian lifestyle mixed with a pinch of Nordic traditions then Arco is the place for you during the winter season holidays. Enjoy the festive atmosphere wandering through little wooden houses and take your children to the little farm to pet and ride ponies and the special Christmas train. There is also a free guided tour and you can also visit the crib exhibition and attend the Christmas concert. Watch he fireworks on the 7th of December.

In South Tyrol, Bolzano you will find the biggest Christmas market of Italy which is visited by numberless people for almost twenty years now. Smell the festive aromas in the air and wander around the scenic alleyways of the regional capital of South Tyrol. Everything becomes perfect when the whole town is covered in white sparkly snow and the place becomes a winter fairytale.

Vipiteno Christmas Market – a real winter wonderland

Visit Vipiteno and be part of a real winter wonderland. During the winter holidays the city is decorated with garlands of lights and you can buy delicious and mouthwatering delicacies in the shops. Visit the northern Valle Isarco and join in the winter fun. Vipiteno is the principle settlement of Alta Valle Isarco where you can spend magical and unforgettable moments. Take a stroll to the Zwölferturm and watch the traditional Christmas decorations and handmade cribs. You can also buy the handwork of local craftsmen. After a long and tiring walk and shopping stop by a pastry shop and treat yourself with a freshly baked delicacy.
