Spending your holiday in Calabria, you have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful scenery with a majestic mainland and spectacular beaches. Obviously, the beaches are the most popular tourist attractions of the area, especially the Capo Vaticano, but you can also choose between many tourist attractions and holiday activities while relaxing in this beautiful area of Italy. You can practice winter and water sports, you can discover the beautiful mainland or go rafting, canyoneering, orienteering or flying. Calabria also has many tourist sites that you can visit when you get bored of staying in the hotel, on the beach or you don’t want to practice sports.

If you are one of those people who like to spend their time exploring the forests and discovering lakes and waterfalls, Calabria will offer you many opportunities as almost all of the land is covered with gorgeous national parks. You can practice rafting or canyoneering in places like the Lao River or the Sila gorges. You can opt for expert guides, so it is not a problem if you have never tried these sports in your life.

Orienteering is a much of fun which challenges you sense of direction. You get a map, a compas and you have to reach the intermediate steps and the final goal. The one, who arrives first to the last stop without breaking any law, is the winner.

The National Museum of Reggio Calabria is one of the main tourist attractions of the areeas and houses the famous Riace Bronez, two rare warrior statues, which any art lover heard about.

Many tourists choose to visit the National Parks of Cambrie, of which we mention Sila, Serre, Aspromonte and Polline.
